The Greenwood Improvement Society 2017 Grant

Updated 2017/09/06

Thanks to a grant from The Greenwood Improvement Society and the Phoenix Foundation, we have been able to get our antique tin ceiling in the front area of the library painted. The ceiling had become rusty and dusty, and was painted in a dull cream colour with turquoise trim. Being 16 feet up, it was hard to access to dust or paint. It has now been given a new lease on life with white rust inhibiting paint, which will better reflect the light and improve visibility in that area, especially on winter evenings when we are open. Tourists often stop in to learn about this building and its history, and this new paint job will show off the ceiling much better.

The Greenwood Library very much appreciates the grant–thank you!
