Library Takeout @ Greenwood Public Library

As of Monday, June 15th, the Greenwood Public Library is offering curbside takeout.

Pickup times will be scheduled on Mondays and Fridays between 1 and 4 pm.

How does it work?

· Use the online catalogue to place holds on the items you’d like to borrow (https://greenwood.bc.libraries.coop/) or

· Phone and leave a message anytime (250-445-6111) OR · Email greenlib@shaw.ca or

· Call on Wednesday mornings between 9 and 12 for help from staff or

· Choose a title from our window display and call, or if staff is at the library, speak to them through the intercom.

Inter-Library Loans are not available at this time.

We can also provide recommendations, or sign you up for a Library card (you will be asked to provide full name, email address, mailing address, and phone number).

PLEASE STOCK UP TO LIMIT VISITS: we encourage selecting up to a maximum of 20 items. Due dates are extended to 6 weeks for books and 2 weeks for DVDs.

We will call you to arrange a pickup appointment

Once your takeout order is ready, we will phone you to set up an appointment for pickup.

Why appointments?

To ensure the health and safety of staff and patrons, pickup times will be by appointment only. Processing times on orders may cause a backlog and it is difficult to determine how quickly we can have your order ready. Staff will need time to check out and bag the items you requested.

What about returning books, magazines, and DVDs?

Our drop box is open, so you can return items at your convenience. All returned material will be quarantined a minimum of 72 hours before going back into circulation.

Running late? Can’t make it? Not feeling well?

Please let us know so we can set up a new appointment day. If you are high-risk or self-isolating, a family member or neighbour can pick up your items. But if you or

any member of your household is sick, we ask that you refrain from borrowing library materials until everyone is well again.
